Subway: The Michael Young Theatre is not a walkable distance from any subway stations. The closest is King Station; from there, it is about a 30-minute walk. There are, however, streetcar and bus options that take you very close to the theatre from King Station, St. Andrew Station, Castle Frank Station, and Broadview Station.
Streetcar: Take the King 504A or 504B Streetcar from St. Andrew Station, King Station, or Broadview Station, or anywhere along King Street to get off at Distillery Loop. Walk north to cross at the lights at Mill Street and Cherry Street and then head back south on Cherry. Turn right onto Tank House Lane. The theatre will be on your right. In total, the walk is about 190 meters or 2 minutes.
Bus: Take the 65 Parliament to Queens Quay bus from Castle Frank Station, getting off at Parliament Street at Mill Street. Cross to the south side and turn left onto Mill Street to begin traveling east. Turn right onto Cherry Street and right onto Tank House Lane. In total, the walk is about 500 meters or 6 minutes, and the theatre will be on your right.
Taxi + Wheel-Trans: Michael Young Theatre is located in Toronto’s Distillery District inside the Young Centre for the Performing Arts at 50 Tank House Lane. The suggested drop-off location advised by Wheels-Trans is 55 Mill Street, Guardhouse Entrance at Trinity Street and Mill Street; however, a closer point to the theatre with a curb cut would be at the north-west corner of Distillery Lane and Cherry Street at 370 Cherry Street. Head north on Cherry Street and turn left onto Tank House Lane. In total, the walk is about 120 meters or 1 minute and the theatre will be on your right.
Parking: There is no parking on-site; however, there is limited metered parking on nearby side streets and a paid parking garage at 370 Cherry Street, Carpark 267, just 120 meters or a 2-minute walk south of the theatre. Exit the parking lot onto Rack House Mews (a small laneway within the Distillery District) and turn left to head north. Turn right onto Tank House Lane and the theatre will be on your left.
