How to Experience
- An Oak Tree has very relaxed technical elements. There will be no bright or sudden lights. Actors will be amplified and occasionally music will play but there will be no sudden or loud sounds.
- This show touches on themes that are quite emotional and heavy. There will be tense and upsetting moments. For more information, check out the detailed content warnings.
- Tim, the creator and lead performer in An Oak Tree, will often take on the role of a hypnotist. In these moments he will speak directly to the audience but there is never a need to respond or interact.
- The guest performer each night will not know what they are about to experience on stage and will receive lines and cues for what to say and do in real time. Everything that happens on stage will be consensual and they are always able to stop if they are feeling overwhelmed or uncomfortable. The guest performer will be a trained and experienced actor.
Length of Performance
60 minutes with no intermission.
Latecomer & Re-Admission Policies
Latecomers will be admitted around six minutes in to the show, when a loud piece of music plays.
