Get ready for Toronto’s most vibrant summer celebration as Luminato takes over Harbourfront Centre from June 4–22, with a special weekend takeover from June 13–15. By day, the waterfront comes alive with family-friendly performances, interactive arts, and the irresistible aromas of international cuisine. As the sun sets, the energy transforms into an electric celebration of music, movement, and light.
This dynamic festival hub pulses with creative energy. Experience First Breath by Luke Jerram (June 4–8), a breathtaking light installation that transforms the city's skyline, celebrating every new life born in Toronto. Step inside Terceradix Luminarium, an immersive, otherworldly structure of colour and light running throughout the festival. Discover outdoor performances across the grounds, and let the sound of live music guide you across the waterfront.
The weekend kicks off with a spectacular tribute to the late great Quincy Jones, arranged and produced by Larnell Lewis. Saturday brings the rich rhythms of South Asia curated by the Tawoos Initiative, along with Miigwetch Collective presenting an inspiring lineup of Indigenous artists and music programming. On Sunday, Lula Music & Arts Centre celebrates Latin culture and music. From June 13–15, experience Chela De Ferrari’s reimagined Hamlet, where eight actors with Down syndrome bring new depth and joy to Shakespeare’s most famous work.
